MOUNT HOLLY, NJ — The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has confirmed that a freeze warning will remain in effect from 2 AM to 9 AM EDT Friday. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are expected across multiple areas.
The warning impacts various parts of central, northern, northwest, and southern New Jersey as well as east central and southeast Pennsylvania. Cities within the warning zone include Newton, Washington, Morristown, Flemington, Somerville, and many others.
Frost and freeze conditions during these hours could be damaging to crops and other sensitive vegetation. Authorities recommend taking protective measures to shield tender plants from the cold.
