BROOKLYN PARK, MD—A strong-arm robbery involving a 13-year-old boy occurred on May 6th in the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway, prompting an investigation by local authorities. The incident took place around 8:45 a.m. near 5522 Ritchie Highway, when the young victim and two friends were confronted by four or five teenage suspects.
According to the Northern District Detective Unit, the suspects emerged from a silver vehicle, assaulted the victim, and forcibly took his backpack before fleeing the scene in the same vehicle. Despite a thorough search by officers, neither the suspects nor the vehicle was located following the incident.
Detectives are now seeking assistance from the public to gather more information about the robbery.
