NEW YORK, NY — A distressing assault occurred in Manhattan when a 72-year-old man was attacked with pepper spray while driving his car. The incident took place on Wednesday at approximately 5:30 PM on Avenue A.
The assailant approached the victim’s vehicle, sprayed him through the driver’s side door, and then fled the scene on a bicycle heading northbound. Emergency Medical Services treated the elderly victim at the scene. The suspect remains unidentified, and the investigation into this unprovoked attack
