Victim in Wednesday Baltimore Shooting Recovering

BALTIMORE, MD—A shooting incident in Baltimore’s Eastern District is currently under investigation, following an event that left a 39-year-old man wounded. The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, May 22, 2024, around 9:15 p.m.

Eastern District patrol officers were dispatched to the 500 block of East 20th Street after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the upper leg. He was promptly transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

Detectives from the Eastern District Shooting unit have taken over the investigation and are actively seeking information from the public. Anyone with knowledge about the shooting is encouraged to contact the Eastern District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2433.
