CUMBERLAND, MD—Brandon Cobak, a 31-year-old resident of Bedford, PA, was arrested for violating a protective order after being stopped by Cumberland Police on Harrison Street around noon on Tuesday.

During the traffic stop, a routine background check revealed that Cobak was under a protective order issued by the State of Tennessee.

Further checks indicated that he also had two active extraditable arrest warrants from Tennessee. Following these discoveries, Cobak was taken to Central Booking.

After a bond hearing, Cobak posted a $5,000 unsecured personal bond concerning the protective order violation. However, he remains detained at the Allegany County Detention Center as the Tennessee warrants are being used as detainers, pending his extradition.
