Major Fire in North Jersey Leaves Four Homes Damaged, Twenty Displaced

by Breaking Local News Report

BAYONNE, NJ—A large fire late Friday night left a trail of destruction in Bayonne, severely damaging one home and impacting three others on 11th Street. Due to its size and intensity, the blaze, which began before 11:00 PM, required additional firefighting support from neighboring Jersey City.

The fire was successfully controlled after three strenuous hours, during which firefighters had to maintain a distance due to the advanced state of the fire in the building structures.

No injuries were reported despite the severity of the fire.

A total of four homes were affected, with the original building and two adjacent ones declared hazardous by the building department, preventing residents from returning. Twenty people have been displaced as a result of the incident.

The intense heat from the fire also damaged vehicles parked across the street and burned an electrical pole, leading to a power outage that affected hundreds in the area.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and repair crews are currently working on site. The community now faces the challenging task of rebuilding and recovery.
