Montgomery County Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Theft and Assault Suspect

BETHESDA, MD – The Montgomery County Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a theft and assault incident. The event took place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in the 7000 block of Democracy Boulevard at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda.

According to the initial investigation, the incident occurred at approximately 1:24 PM when the suspect, accompanied by a known accomplice, entered Macy’s and stole property. When confronted by loss prevention personnel, the suspects assaulted the employee and subsequently fled the scene.

The police have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are urging anyone with information about her identity to come forward. Those who can assist are encouraged to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Patrol, as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this crime.
