NYPD Comb City for Suspect in Pride Flag Theft

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance to identify a suspect involved in the theft of multiple Pride Flags. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the 6th Precinct, opposite 34 Christopher Street.

The theft was reported on Thursday, June 13, at around 8:00 PM. An unknown male suspect was seen removing the flags mounted around the exterior of the park and subsequently fled eastbound on Christopher Street. There were no injuries reported in connection with this incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, seen wearing a gray sweater, dark pants, and black and white sneakers, and was carrying a black bookbag at the time of the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact local authorities.
