by Breaking Local News Report

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA – A 47-year-old man faces charges after crashing his motorcycle while under the influence late Friday night.

On June 14th, around 9:23 p.m., Deputy C.M. Sterne of the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a drunk driver complaint at Adventure Brewing on Perchwood Drive. Patrons reported that the man was “obviously under the influence” and attempted to prevent him from leaving on his motorcycle, but were unsuccessful.

Shortly after, another call reported an intoxicated motorcycle driver who subsequently crashed into the woods in the 800 block of Ramoth Church Road. Upon arrival, Deputy Sterne made contact with the driver, who admitted to having “too much to drink” and mentioned possessing a “fresh” bottle of Grey Goose.

After a medical evaluation, the driver was charged with driving under the influence and detained at Rappahannock Regional Jail with a $5,000 secured bond. The incident underscores the ongoing issues of DUI and the dangers associated with impaired driving
