TOMS RIVER, NJ—Marc Manfredonia, 33, of Little Egg Harbor, has pled guilty to robbery in connection with a September 9, 2023, incident in Little Egg Harbor Township. During his sentencing on August 9, 2024, the State will seek a ten-year term in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act.
On the morning of September 9, 2023, at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers from the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to East Hudson Drive following reports of gunfire. They found a 36-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, New Jersey, and later released.
An investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department Detective Bureau, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit revealed that the victim, who knew Manfredonia and Christopher Miller, 36, of Paterson, New Jersey, visited their East Hudson Drive residence. Shortly after the victim’s arrival, Miller and Manfredonia forced him out of the residence, demanding money. Miller brandished a handgun, threatening to shoot the victim if he did not transfer money via a mobile cash application.
The victim complied, transferring funds to Miller and Manfredonia, who then demanded more money. When the victim refused, a physical altercation ensued, during which Miller fired four shots, hitting the victim in the leg, groin, and ear. Miller and Manfredonia continued to assault the victim before retreating inside the residence. The victim fled to a nearby home to call the police.
