Milton Woman Arrested Following Pursuit in Stolen Vehicle

Milton, DE – Delaware State Police have arrested 30-year-old Jenifer Hirl of Milton for multiple offenses following a pursuit in a stolen Acura on July 4.

At approximately 5:19 PM, troopers were alerted to a stolen Acura ATL from New Jersey, being tracked electronically while driving southbound on Coastal Highway near Milton. The vehicle was located on West Randor Drive, where troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, the Acura did not stop and continued to drive on several area streets before returning to West Randor Drive and coming to a halt.

Jenifer Hirl, identified as the driver, attempted to walk away from the vehicle but was quickly arrested after a brief struggle. Troopers observed signs of impairment and administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

Hirl was taken to Troop 7, where she was charged with multiple offenses. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $7,900 cash bond.
