Delaware State Police Issue Gold Alert for Missing Mother and Daughter

DELMAR, DE—Delaware State Police Troop 5 has activated a Gold Alert for Deborah Luther, 42, and her daughter River Timmons, 3, both residents of Delmar. They were last seen near their home on Saturday, July 28, 2024, around 7:00 PM, heading to the local Food Lion. Since then, efforts to reach them have been unsuccessful, raising concerns about their safety.

Deborah Luther is described as a white female, 5’4” tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last spotted wearing gray shorts, a black tank top, and flip-flops. She was driving a gray 2009 Pontiac G6, bearing Delaware license plate 144535.

River Timmons, described as a white female, stands about 2’10” tall and has light brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen in jean shorts with lace trim, a pink tank top, and jelly shoes.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the whereabouts of Deborah or River to contact Delaware State Police Troop 5 at (302) 337-1090 or to call 9-1-1. Information can also be provided to Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
