Man Arrested for Identity Theft at New Castle Rental Car Facility

NEW CASTLE, DE – Delaware State Police have apprehended 31-year-old Rickie Holloway of Brooklyn, New York, on charges of identity theft and related crimes at Enterprise Rental Car.

The arrest occurred on July 30 at approximately 4:14 PM at the Enterprise location on 190 S. Dupont Highway. Management alerted the troopers to an individual attempting to rent a vehicle using a fake identity amidst a pattern of similar vehicle thefts across Delaware and neighboring states.

Upon their arrival, troopers witnessed Holloway fleeing on foot. After a short pursuit and ignoring several commands to stop, Holloway was detained without further incident. A search revealed he used a fictitious Virginia driver’s license bearing his photo.

Holloway faces several charges, including felony identity theft, possession of burglary tools, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and is currently held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $7,000 secured bond.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is handling the ongoing investigation and has urged anyone with information to contact Detective T. Leonardi or Delaware Crime Stoppers.
