Waldorf Man Wins $50,000 Scratch-Off, Plans Truck Purchase

by Breaking Local News Report

WALDORF, MD – A Charles County man’s routine lottery purchase at his favorite retailer turned into a $50,000 windfall, setting him on the path to buying a new truck.

The lucky winner, an asphalt contractor from Waldorf, secured the top prize from a $5 Gold Rush 7s Tripler scratch-off ticket. His winning moment came during a regular visit to Dash In, located at 30100 Three Notch Road in Charlotte Hall, where he revealed a “7” symbol, instantly winning the game’s top prize of $50,000. Understandably, he was quite surprised by his fortune.

With the winnings, he plans to invest in a new truck, an essential tool for his trade. The Dash In store in St. Mary’s County also benefits, earning a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling a top-prize ticket.

The Gold Rush 7s Tripler game, which launched in May, initially offered eight $50,000 top prizes. Five of these lucrative prizes are still available, along with numerous other prizes ranging from $5 to $5,000.
