Columbus Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Murder Suspect

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Division of Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jaquez Hoover, who is wanted on two counts of murder related to a shooting that occurred in June.

On June 14, 2024, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of N. 5th Street following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered four victims, two of whom tragically succumbed to their injuries. After an extensive investigation, warrants were issued for Jaquez Hoover on charges of two counts of murder.

Detectives are urging anyone with information on Mr. Hoover’s whereabouts or details related to the incident to contact the Columbus Police Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730. Those wishing to provide information anonymously can do so by reaching out to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS (8477).
