Wilkes-Barre Woman Arrested for Public Intoxication

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A Wilkes-Barre woman was arrested early Tuesday morning for public intoxication at a local business on Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard. The incident occurred on September 3, 2024, at approximately 2:19 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard following a report of an intoxicated and disorderly female. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the defendant, identified as 54-year-old Linda Lebegern of Wilkes-Barre.

Authorities observed that Lebegern was manifestly under the influence of alcohol to the extent that she was a danger to herself and others. She was taken into custody at the scene and transported to City Headquarters.

The incident remains under investigation.
