NYPD seeks gunman in Friday night Brooklyn shooting

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a shooting in the 90th Precinct on Friday evening.

Police said the incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on August 30 in the vicinity of Avenue of Puerto Rico and Maujer Street. An unidentified individual discharged a firearm, striking a 23-year-old male victim in the back.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. He was listed in stable condition, authorities said.

The NYPD has released media in an effort to identify the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
