Man fatally stabbed in Brooklyn identified as Michael Edwards, 52

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police have identified the man fatally stabbed in Brooklyn on Friday morning as 52-year-old Michael Edwards of East 58th Street.

Officers from the 67th Precinct responded to a 911 call at approximately 6:11 a.m. on Rockaway Parkway and Brookdale Plaza. When they arrived, they found Edwards conscious with two stab wounds to his back.

Edwards was transported to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center by private means. He was later pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
