Bronx woman fatally stabbed, investigation ongoing

BRONX, N.Y. — A 29-year-old woman was fatally stabbed Thursday afternoon in the Bronx, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 3:17 p.m. reporting the stabbing at 549 Southern Boulevard, within the 41st Precinct.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim, later identified as Gwendolyn Guyton, with stab wounds to her neck and torso. Emergency medical services transported her to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made as the investigation remains ongoing.

Guyton was a resident of 1129 Fteley Avenue in the Bronx. Police have not yet released further details about the circumstances of the stabbing.
