HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. — Five local households have been recognized for their creativity and Halloween spirit in Hackettstown’s annual “Spook” the House Contest. On Wednesday, police officers and community leaders visited the winning homes to congratulate the residents and admire the spine-chilling decorations that helped transform the town into a Halloween spectacle.
Patrol officers MacQuesten and Wickkiser joined Mayor Jerry DiMaio and Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) Executive Director Laurie Rapisardi to announce and celebrate the winners. The group toured the decorated homes, acknowledging the efforts that brought eerie and festive displays to life.
“Congratulations to all of our winners for their creativity, spirit, and spine-tingling decorations!” the Hackettstown Police Department shared in a social media post. They expressed appreciation to the participants for “making Hackettstown a little spookier this season.”
