Armed robbery reported at 7-Eleven in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. — Authorities are investigating an early morning armed robbery at a 7-Eleven on Seminole Trail in Albemarle County, according to the Albemarle County Police Department.

The incident occurred around 4:46 a.m. Sunday, when an unidentified man, believed to be in his 20s, entered the store armed with a firearm and demanded cash. Police said the suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black face mask at the time of the robbery.

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, and investigators have not yet determined the direction of travel. Police have not released any surveillance images but noted that such images would be shared as they become available.

The department has asked anyone with information to contact the Albemarle County Police Department or Crime Stoppers, the latter of which allows tips to be submitted anonymously.

Authorities continue to investigate as they seek leads in identifying the suspect.

Police are urging vigilance as they search for the armed suspect still at large.
