Wilkes-Barre woman arrested for alleged assault in domestic dispute

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A 35-year-old Wilkes-Barre woman was arrested Sunday following a domestic dispute that led to an alleged assault on South Franklin Street, according to police.

Officers from the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to a call at 11:42 a.m. reporting a domestic altercation at a residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 41-year-old male victim, who said the altercation began as a verbal argument.

The victim told officers that the situation escalated when he asked the woman, identified as Juana Rincon Rincon, to leave the residence. According to the victim, Rincon Rincon then physically assaulted him.

Police took Rincon Rincon into custody at the scene. She was transported to City Headquarters for processing.
