UTICA, N.Y. — A vehicle pursuit on Thursday led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of narcotics and a firearm following a series of search warrants executed by the Utica Police Department.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., members of the Special Investigations Unit, supported by the UPD GIVE and Patrol Division, attempted to stop a vehicle as part of an investigation into narcotics distribution. The driver, identified as Tracy Harris, 60, of Utica, fled the traffic stop, crashing into a utility pole before abandoning the vehicle and attempting to escape on foot.

Officers apprehended Harris nearby and discovered a large quantity of narcotics during a search of his person. The investigation then continued at 623 Blandina Street, where officers executed a search warrant.

Inside the residence, authorities encountered a woman, identified as Stacy Gannon, 39, of Utica. During the search, police uncovered additional felony-level narcotics, including over 50 grams of cocaine, as well as methamphetamine, fentanyl, and a loaded 9mm handgun.

Both Harris and Gannon were taken into custody and face multiple charges related to narcotics possession and distribution, as well as firearms offenses.
