Police investigating assault at Wilkes-Barre bus terminal

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Police are investigating an alleged assault that took place Sunday evening at the Intermodal Bus Terminal on South Washington Street, where a 37-year-old woman from Kingston reported being attacked by an unknown female suspect.

According to the victim, she was approached by the suspect, described as a white female of unknown age, who accused her of stealing personal belongings. The confrontation escalated when the suspect allegedly kicked the victim, causing her to spill her coffee.

The victim later reported the incident to police at City Headquarters at approximately 8:30 p.m. No injuries were disclosed, and authorities have not yet identified the suspect involved in the altercation.

Wilkes-Barre police confirmed the investigation is ongoing and have not released additional details at this time.
