BOWIE, MD — A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday night in Bowie, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
Officers responded to the intersection of Maryland 197 and Northview Drive just before 9 p.m. on Feb. 13 after reports of a crash.
According to the Bowie Police Department, a driver in a Kia Sorento was traveling on Collington Road when they hit the pedestrian. The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene. As of Friday afternoon, authorities have not released the victim’s name.
