Lost pup sitting in jail waiting for family to spring him

A friendly pit bull mix is waiting for his family to bring him home after being found by Utica police.

UTICA, N.Y. — The Utica Police Department is seeking the owner of a tan male pit bull mix found on the 1100 block of Dudley Avenue.

Officers located the dog on Monday and are now working to reunite him with his owner. Police shared a photo of the pup on social media, noting that he is safe and being cared for while they search for his family.

Anyone who recognizes the dog or knows the owner is urged to contact the Utica Police Department at 315-223-3461.
