TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Toms River Recreation & Parks Department, in collaboration with the Toms River Green Team, will host a park cleanup at Skyview Park on Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Organizers are encouraging residents, civic groups, and youth organizations to participate in the effort to prepare the park for the upcoming spring and summer seasons. Cleanup supplies, including gloves and trash bags, will be provided.
“Everyone is welcome to join us in clearing the park and getting it ready for the Spring and Summer seasons,” the township government said in a public announcement.

Participants are invited to attend as individuals or with groups such as Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, garden clubs, and other community organizations. The event is open to volunteers of all ages.
The event is part of the township’s ongoing commitment to maintaining clean, safe recreational spaces.
Skyview Park cleanup supports seasonal readiness
Skyview Park is a public recreation area frequented by families and youth groups throughout Toms River. Local officials say the cleanup is a chance for residents to take part in keeping shared spaces safe and well-maintained.
No registration is required in advance, and all necessary equipment will be provided on-site.
Township officials are also highlighting the event as an opportunity for students to earn community service hours.
Volunteers are advised to dress appropriately for outdoor work and arrive on time at the park.
