Authorities have issued arrest warrants for a Washington, D.C. man in connection with a strong-arm robbery that occurred last month at a retail store in Manassas, Virginia, as police continue to search for two additional suspects.

On April 11 at approximately 1:34 p.m., officers responded to the Bath and Body Works located at 10992 Bulloch Drive in Manassas following a report of a robbery that had taken place the previous afternoon. According to investigators, three unidentified men entered the store on April 10 and began removing merchandise from store shelves.

When an employee confronted one of the suspects, the man reportedly threatened the worker. Police confirmed there was no physical contact during the incident. All three suspects fled the store shortly after. Detectives later identified a pattern in the missing merchandise and determined that the suspect who made the threat could be identified.

On May 2, following further investigation, detectives obtained warrants for 34-year-old Delontae Laymont Shaw of the 1300 block of Congress Street SE in Washington, D.C. Shaw is now wanted on charges of robbery, larceny with intent to sell, and conspiracy to commit larceny. A photo of Shaw taken in December 2023 was provided by law enforcement, though officials confirmed he had not yet been located.

Two suspects still unidentified

The investigation remains active as police continue efforts to identify the two remaining suspects. Descriptions of both men were released to the public in hopes of generating leads.

The first suspect is described as a Black male between 25 and 35 years old, approximately 6 feet tall with a medium build, and wearing braids or dreadlocks held in a Nike brand hair wrap. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing an unzipped black “Milano” brand coat with white and red lettering, dark pants, and white sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a Black male between 18 and 25 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black True Religion hoodie with white writing, stone-washed ripped jeans, and black and red sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Shaw or the identities of the other two suspects is urged to contact authorities. No injuries were reported in the incident.
