BALTIMORE, Md. — A 28-year-old man was wounded in a daytime shooting Monday and ran to a nearby school seeking help, according to Baltimore Police.

Officers from the Northwest District responded around 12:47 p.m. on January 13 to the 3900 block of Maine Avenue, where a man had approached a school for assistance after being shot.

Police said the victim suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medics transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting occurred earlier in the 3500 block of Garrison Boulevard. The victim fled the scene and made his way to the school, where staff alerted authorities.
