On March 14, Aguirre appeared at the ICE office as directed, where officials discovered the outstanding rape warrant from Ecuador. He was immediately taken into custody and later detained at Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Philipsburg.

An immigration judge ordered his removal on April 4. He was deported one month later.
