by Local News Report

EASTON, MD — A Delaware man visiting Maryland to pick up a friend walked away $100,000 richer after purchasing a Maryland Lottery Money Rush scratch-off ticket at a convenience store.

The top-prize winner stopped at U5 Foods on Ocean Gateway in Easton, intending only to give someone a ride. Before leaving, he decided to buy a few scratch-off tickets, including the $10 Money Rush game. One of them revealed a $100,000 top prize.

A certified nursing assistant by trade, the man said his immediate plan for the windfall includes paying off his truck. He also shared the news with his brother and the store clerk on site.

U5 Foods will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Money Rush launched in July 2024. As of June 3, four top prizes of $100,000 remain, along with additional prizes including three at $50,000 and 13 at $10,000.
