Detectives investigate deadly gunfire on McCulloh Street
BALTIMORE, Md. — One man was killed and an 18-year-old was wounded after gunfire erupted on a West Baltimore street Monday afternoon, prompting a homicide investigation.
According to the Baltimore Police Department, officers responded at approximately 4:20 p.m. Aug. 3 to the 1700 block of McCulloh Street after a ShotSpotter alert and multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified adult male and an 18-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police provided emergency aid before both victims were transported to a nearby hospital.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the unidentified man was pronounced dead a short time later. The 18-year-old victim remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Baltimore homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
