ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA—Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus expressed honor in participating in the 5th annual Veteran Memorial Bike Tour, an event aimed at supporting local veterans’ transition into civilian employment. Sponsored by Jack Wagner, a United States Marine Corp veteran and Purple Heart recipient, the event raises funds for Pittsburgh Hires Veterans, a group dedicated to securing employment for veterans throughout western Pennsylvania.

The tour began earlier today at the World War II memorial on the North Shore, with participants cycling to Homestead and then returning to the starting point. The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office provided an escort for the cyclists, ensuring their safety throughout the route.
