Manahawkin, NJ – A 12-month-old dog named Hailey is available for adoption at the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter, where staff say she is looking for an active home that can match her high energy and playful nature.

Hailey is described as a toy-loving puppy who enjoys spending time playing and interacting with other dogs, though her energetic style may be overwhelming for more reserved animals.

Shelter outlines ideal home for young dog

While Hailey is social with other dogs, the shelter said she would do best in a home without cats. Staff also recommend placement with children ages 10 and older who can safely engage with her activity level.

“She absolutely loves toys and could spend hours playing,” the organization said. “With some continued training and guidance, she’ll truly thrive and learn how to channel her energy in all the right ways.”
