Intoxicated Man Arrested in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA – Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to an incident of public intoxication early Friday morning. Officers arrested Donald Simonson at 33 South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard, Plains Township, Pennsylvania.

The arrest took place at 2:01 AM after a report was made about an intoxicated individual lying on the sidewalk. Simonson, 49 years old, was found to be significantly under the influence of alcohol, posing a danger to himself and the public.

Following the confrontation, Simonson was detained by law enforcement until he was no longer intoxicated. The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department handled the situation promptly and resolved the issue without harming anyone involved.
