Million dollar lottery ticket sold in Pennsylvania

$1 million-winning scratch-off ticket sold in Harrisburg

Harrisburg, PA — A Pennsylvania Lottery player is starting the new year with a million-dollar win after purchasing a Merry Money Match Scratch-Off ticket in Dauphin County, officials announced Friday.

The top-prize ticket was sold at Cue-Nique Inc., located at 505 Strawberry Square in Harrisburg. The business will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning $30 ticket.

Merry Money Match is one of the Lottery’s $30 holiday-themed games offering multiple $1 million top prizes. The identity of the winner has not been revealed, as all prizes must be claimed and validated through the Pennsylvania Lottery before details are released.

Scratch-Off tickets must be claimed within one year of the game’s official end-sale date, which is posted at palottery.com. Players are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket immediately and contact Lottery officials to begin the claim process.

The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds players that winning tickets are randomly distributed, and neither the Lottery nor retailers know where top prizes will be sold in advance.
