Take 5 top-prize tickets worth $15K sold in Brooklyn and Phoenix in evening drawing

BROOKLYN, NY – Two lucky New York Lottery players each took home $15,506 after matching all five numbers in Wednesday’s Take 5 evening drawing, with winning tickets sold in both Brooklyn and Phoenix.

According to lottery officials, one top-prize ticket was purchased at Fresh Food Choice, located at 2715 Mermaid Avenue in Brooklyn. The second ticket was sold at Byrne Dairy at 226 CT Route 57 in the upstate village of Phoenix.

Both winners correctly picked the five numbers drawn in the December 11 evening game, splitting the day’s top prize.

Take 5 is drawn twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with players selecting five numbers from 1 to 39. Winning tickets can be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery remains the most profitable in North America, contributing over $3.6 billion this fiscal year to support public education across the state.
