Strongsville man hits $50,000 scratch-off prize for the second time

STRONGSVILLE, OH — A Strongsville resident has pulled off a rare lottery feat, winning $50,000 on a Holiday Millions scratch-off ticket — marking the second time he’s claimed a $50,000 prize from the Ohio Lottery.

The winner, identified only as “K.” for publicity purposes, purchased the lucky ticket at Marc’s #41, located at 16224 Pearl Road in Strongsville. His most recent win came from the Holiday Millions game, which still has one top prize remaining as of Tuesday.

K. previously won the same amount on another ticket a few years ago, and while he jokes that he’s never been selected for the Ohio Lottery’s Cash Explosion show, he continues to play regularly.

After standard tax withholding of 26.75 percent, he will receive a lump sum of $36,625.

The Ohio Lottery reports that the Holiday Millions scratch-off still has one $50,000 top prize left unclaimed.
