Pennsylvania couple sentenced for brutal abuse of teen boy

GREENSBURG, PA — A Westmoreland County judge has sentenced a Derry Township couple to prison after both pleaded guilty to physically abusing a 14-year-old boy, leaving him permanently injured.

Charles and Jamie Harr were sentenced by Common Pleas Judge Michael Stewart following guilty pleas entered in April. Charles Harr was ordered to serve 9 to 18 months in prison followed by probation. Jamie Harr received a significantly longer sentence: 7 to 14 years in state prison, also followed by probation.
