Three injured in early morning shooting during robbery in South Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — Three people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting tied to a robbery in the early hours of Tuesday morning in the city’s Southern District, according to Baltimore Police.

Officers responded at around 4:56 a.m. on January 20 after two victims — a 41-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman — arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. A third victim, a 29-year-old woman, was later located at a separate area hospital, also suffering from a gunshot wound. All three victims are expected to survive.

Preliminary investigation revealed the shooting occurred during a robbery in the 2400 block of Westport Street. Police have not released details about a suspect or whether any arrests have been made.
