Southeast D.C. school burglar caught on camera

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect involved in a school burglary in Southeast D.C. is being sought by police after surveillance footage captured the crime.

The burglary occurred early in the morning on Friday, Sept. 27, at around 4:00 a.m. The suspect broke into a school located in the 900 block of Wahler Place, Southeast, stealing property from a classroom before fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or knowledge of the incident is urged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and indictment.
