Teen carjacking crew in Baltimore strikes twice before one is caught

Teen charged as adult after attempted carjacking spree using BB gun in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, Md. — A series of attempted carjackings unfolded in broad daylight before one suspect was chased down and taken into custody.

The incidents happened Saturday, March 28 in the areas of Daytona Avenue and Towanda and Ridgewood, where multiple victims were approached by a group of teens attempting to steal their vehicles.

In both cases, the victims were able to escape without being harmed.

But the suspects didn’t get far.

Officers quickly located the group nearby, and one suspect fled on foot before being caught.

Authorities said the 15-year-old was found with a BB gun designed to resemble a real firearm.

He has been charged as an adult with multiple felony offenses.

Detectives are now working to identify the remaining suspects involved in the attempted carjackings.
