Police say a thief entered a parked truck in Washington Heights and made off with thousands of dollars in cash.
NEW YORK, N.Y. — Police are searching for a suspect accused of stealing about $5,000 from a commercial truck parked on a Manhattan street last month.
The burglary occurred at about 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, in front of 551 West 168th Street in the Washington Heights neighborhood, according to the NYPD.
Investigators said an unidentified individual entered the parked commercial truck and removed approximately $5,000.
The suspect then fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.
Police have not released a description of the suspect, and no arrests have been announced.
The investigation remains ongoing.
