Virginia Beach man called 911 after he was shot, dead at hospital

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Today, a tragic incident occurred on March 19, 2023, when 21-year-old Detral Dozier from Virginia Beach was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The incident was reported at 1:30 A.M., after Dozier called 911 himself.

He was located at the 4700 block of Marlwood Way and later transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
