Lancaster Man Fatally Electrocuted While Trimming Tree Branches

LANCASTER, PA – A tragic accident occurred today, when a 39-year-old man from Lancaster was electrocuted while trimming tree branches. Emergency responders were dispatched at 12:48 pm to an address in the 2100 Block of Kentwood Drive after receiving a report of an unconscious person. It was determined that the man had been trimming branches in a tree when one of the branches came into contact with a power line, causing the electrocution.

Manheim Township Police, Fire Rescue, and Ambulance arrived at the scene, but the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office pronounced the man deceased. The police are currently investigating the incident, but no foul play is suspected. The next of kin has been notified, and no further information is being released at this time.
