Morristown Man Sentenced for Domestic Violence, Arson, and Weapon Charges

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Recently, Chancelle Ibin Young, 29, of Morristown, has been sentenced in connection with a domestic violence incident involving arson and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Young appeared before Judge Stephen J. Taylor and entered guilty pleas for second-degree Arson, second-degree Certain Persons Not to Have Weapons, and Simple Assault.

Young was sentenced to an aggregate of 8 years imprisonment, subject to the No Early Release Act. He will also be subject to three years of parole supervision upon release. Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll commended law enforcement officers for their professionalism and restraint in handling the case.
