NEW YORK CITY, NY – Joevani Vale, a 26-year-old Brooklyn man, has been arrested and charged in connection with two separate incidents involving a homicide and an assault. The NYPD apprehended Vale after ongoing investigations into both cases.
In the first incident, on Saturday, police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault at 134 Nevins Street, within the 84 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found a 31-year-old female with a slash wound to her right thigh. The victim was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition. Vale was later arrested and charged with assault for this incident.
In the second incident, also on Saturday, officers responded to a 911 call regarding an aided male at 185 Nevins Street (Wyckoff Gardens), within the 78 Precinct (PSA#1). Upon arrival, an 83-year-old male, identified as Ramon Cintron, was found unconscious and unresponsive, with stab wounds to his neck and right arm. EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Vale was arrested in connection with the homicide and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
