Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Baltimore County, Police Investigating

BALTIMORE, MD – A tragic accident occurred on Sunday, when 53-year-old Earl Preston III was fatally struck by a 2018 Acura TLX while attempting to cross East Joppa Road near the intersection of East Joppa Road and Loch Raven Boulevard. Baltimore County Police Department officers responded to the scene at approximately 3:15 a.m.

Preston was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Acura, who has not been identified, remained at the scene and is cooperating with the authorities.

The Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether speed, impairment, or other factors contributed to the crash.
