SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced on Wednesday that 25-year-old Kisjonne Campbell of Brooklyn has pleaded guilty to Murder in the Second Degree. The crime, a brutal stabbing, resulted in the untimely death of 21-year-old Michaelle Jaccis on New Year’s Day 2022.

Campbell, who was apprehended swiftly by Suffolk County Police on the day of the murder, is due back in court on June 9, for sentencing.

The District Attorney is hoping the court will sentence him to 20 years to life in prison, reflecting the severity of his crime. The District Attorney and the judicial system at large are committed to ensuring that such acts of violence are met with the full force of the law.
