Police continue investigation into Aberdeen shooting

ABERDEEN, MD – Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating a non-fatal shooting incident that took place in the Perrywood area of Aberdeen. Shemeka Crawford, a 31-year-old resident of Edgewood, was reportedly shot while outside in the 200 block of Perrywood Court by unidentified suspects last Sunday.

Deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene early Sunday morning following reports of gunfire. Initial inspection revealed signs of a shooting, however, the victim was not found at the scene. The investigation led them to the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where they were able to establish contact with the victim, who was receiving medical care for her non-life-threatening injuries.

The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has taken charge of the investigation. The Forensic Services Unit is also providing support to preserve physical evidence. The investigation is currently ongoing, and no additional details are available at this time.
